The way paint behaves on yupo - a type of slick surface that is incredibly stable and forgiving - is unique, and I used the 'slippery' nature of oils on this support to paint a favorite subject: a pickup rider dressed in his colorful red shirt, mounted on an equally colorful bay overo. Such a flashy pair is huge fun to paint!
